Other Business Supports

Small Business Networks

'The importance of networking as a way of keeping in touch with, and learning from others, in the same situation cannot be underestimated'

There are a number of business networks that Cavan business owners may wish to get involved with. These include at a national level the small firms association www.sfa.ie , and www.isme.ie . At a local level the chambers of commerce in Cavan town www.cavanchamber.ie and Cootehill www.cootehillchamber.ie are active.

Other organisations worth investigating include:

Business Discussion Forum/Cavan Enterprise Network

Some time ago Cavan CEB wrote to a range of business owner/managers across Cavan about their interest in having an opportunity to be able to meet and chat with other like minded business owners, in an informal setting, about all issues relating to the running of a business.  We received some very enthusiastic feedback at the time and as a result a number of meetings were held over the last couple of years.  The meetings turned out to be a great success with a diverse group of  new and experienced business owner/managers discussing a range of topics. .

Next Date :  to be confirmed - March 2010

As we said before we feel that the forum offers a chance for owner-managers across the county to meet each other.  All discussions that take place are confidential to those present. No minutes. No committee. And finally we see it as very much a social network too.

If you are interested in participating in the next meeting , please email jamesfox@cceb.ie with your contact details.
